Stang #2

New member, found this site on Google. I used to own an '87 GT with the usual boltons back in '96. She ran at Old Bridge Twnsp Raceway Park and Atco, 14 flat at about 100-had a leaking rear main seal, worn clutch, bad motor mounts and crap tires. But I do miss that car. SInce then I've owned an Integra GS-R, Jetta 1.8T with some work, and a couple of sportbikes. Right now I'm selling my bike to purchase a S197 convertible. It's time for the bike to go. Family with two young kids, been kinda worried to ride on public roads lately.
This seems like a very informative site. True on what I've read so far about average fuel mileage? Some of yas have stated low to mid 20mpg for the GT's. That's pretty damn good!! I'm really just planning on suspension mods, making it a bit lighter weight with changes to driveshaft, flywheel, wheels, and K member. Then, of course, the usual removal of the intake and the exhaust restrictions. Not really considering forced induction yet. Yet.
Drive safe.

Welcome to MM. I've hit 30 mpg with mine one time when I babied it. On the highway with normal driving I average about 24 mpg. In town it gets around 15 - 18 mpg.
