I found this forum by doing a google search of all the mustang forums. I read the headings and thought this one sounded like the one I was looking for. I just finished rebuilding my 93 lexus SC 400 to about 98% restored and the other day I bought an old ford van to get a 351 block for my boat and while I there I ended up getting a 1997 Mustang Saleen dropped in my lap. Very nice body but the engine and transmission are gone, and the guy just about gave it to me so now I have what I like to call Project Saleen, as if I needed another project LOL but I am in it now. So now the task at hand is what do I do with it. 1. Get a doner car as I have a great connection with the local auto auction through a buddy. 2. Put a stroked 351w in it. 3. I have an extra 4.0 32 valve lexes 8 cylinder in the garage but how would I ever get it wired up with the stang. So that is why I am here to start the long journey of building another sweet ride. It was a supercharged 4.6 with a five speed and oh how I am excited about the manual tranny. I look forward to getting to know you all as we go through this journey together. In building my SC400 the Club Lexus forum was a wealth of knowledge for me since I was un familiar with the toyotas. The SC400 wasn't in much better shape when I got it and now it is like a new one inside and out. Today I was sitting in the mustang and wondering what adventures it would hold for me in the build process and beyond, and 18 months ago I was sitting in the lexus thinking the same thing now it is a solid car I took a 5k mile trip in earlier this summer. So here we go and i look forward to it.

I got pissed off at my old mustang forum and needed a new one I didn't like how stangnet and allfordmustangs set up thier forum selections and this one just seems easy to work with. One thing i did like better about my old forum was its white background.

Hello

I accidently found it on a Google search for Mustang restorations. I have searched for the last week on Mustang forums and didn't even see this one I haven't found one that meets my idea of a good site really until I found this one by accident but I'm glad I found it.

Ok here it is I was a die hard chevy fan and not into fords i've had 48 vehicles since i was 15 my first was a 67 camaro rs and i've always been into hotrods-ratrods,my reason for now owning a ford is simple the economy sucks and it was cheap. But and I say but,I am very impressed with the handling-power and feel of my mustang though it is a v-6 3.8 it has a little pep.Now I'm ready to make this pony move,so now i'm proud to say "Yep I drive a mustang" so hope you all will accept me though I have always been a chevy guy this mustang aint all that bad and i'm glad i purchased it.I found this site looking for help, and parts for my new ride.

I googled top mustang forums, this one was in the top 3. I read through and found answers to many of my questions.
