hey thanks for the tip man i will check it out sunday when i have some time to pull it in the garage and screw around with it. i was going to put a staggered set of bullitts on it, first i wanted black, then my wife talked me into the anthracite, but then locally i found a set of chrome 03-04 cobra wheels with tires for 3 bills in awesome condition, so tomorrow i am going to pick them up and put them on, so i saved some money on wheels, i'll spend it elsewhere now!! on the exhaust i guess. where can i buy just a set of tail pipes for the car? just 2.5 inch tail pipes with chrome tips, i dint need mufflers or anything, i cannot seem to be able to find a pair of tailpipes.

well i went tonight to pick up the new wheels for it, 17 x 9 chrome 03-04 cobra wheels and on my way home i stopped at 7-11 to get a drink and when i backed out of the parking spot i could hear a grinding clunking sound from the back, i limped the car 20 miles home and took the diff cover off and it seems like the center carrier is shot, it moves back and fourth alot. i left the cover off, put it on jack stands and let it idle in first gear and the clicking and groaning sounds from the rear dont sound good. i'm going to gearheads tomorrow for 3:73's and a master rebuild kit and dropping it off at my buddy john's shop in port richey, he owns RMP Performance he said he will go through the entire rear for a buck and a half so screw it, might as well freshen it up , change the gears and get it all nice and tight again. its always something!!

thanks for the welcomes. well tonight after work i needed to get the diff cover put back on and filled with fluid so i could get it to the shop thats rebuilding the rear end. but wouldnt you know with fresh fluid and new posi additive, now it sounds fine when i drive it? one thing i noticed, after my buddy told me about it, i think the bushings are smoked in the rear control arms. it sure does make sense now the way it feels. so i am dropping it off tomorrow to have the diff rebuilt with new bearings and seals and having 3:73's installed, new u-joints and exhaust all done at once. then once i get it back i will order new control arms and install them myself in my garage. i put the cobra wheels on it tonight though, i need new tires for them but i had to get them gt wheels off asap lol! you know, aftermarket wheels are nice and usually make anything look better, but sometimes the factory designs a wheel for a car and it just looks perfect, to me, the chrome cobra wheels off the 03-04 made my car look perfect, sometimes you just cant beat a factory wheel!!
