New to the family.

Got sick of my chrysler and found a silver '00 GT convertible and scooped it up. It's got 25,000 miles on it and unfortunately it was made on 08/11/00 which is a friday i think.

I've fallen in love with this thing and I'm looking into getting a catted x-pipe and cat-back system but cant seem to decide on a brand yet with all the mixed opinions on this site! The other part that is stalling my decision is weather to go 2.5" tubing or larger considering i might attempt to add 8-10psi of boost next summer.

I saw a set of '06 GT rims for $400CDN in my area and im not sure if they would fit but they are a 5spoke design with 2 spokes per ... spoke.

I look forward to meeting you all and contributing to the community.

Well welcome to the site. If you decide to go with the three inch exhaust I would wait until you get the SC first. Put a 3" set up on a stock car or even near stock car can cause you to lose back pressure and may affect your performance. It may also affect your HP numbers. Thr choise in cat back is up to you. It all depends on what you personally like. Some of my favorites are:
Magnapacks
Borla Stingers
SLP LM 2

Yeah that's about it for me. Some others will chime in with more. Again, welcome!

welcome to the site. choice in exhaust all depends upon what sound you are looking for as they all give roughly the same performance upgrade.

Roughly. It's the mid pipe and headers that makes the biggest difference.

Welcome to the post-happy place that is MM. Great lookin 'vert.

2.5" exhaust is plenty big, even for a slightly higher hp car. In my opinion. You reach 400 then opening it up a bit would probably be a good idea.

Thanks for all the input guys i think im going to stick with 2.5" as long as its still big enough for 8 psi. The prices have me a little bit discouraged because the car already sounds nice but i'm looking at over $350 for a catted midpipe from pypes and even more from mac, bassani, magnaflow plus shipping... then theres a cat-back ontop of that its quite expensive...

I'm looking for something reasonably priced and maybe some of you could tell me what kind of prices would be considered good for some of these parts?

I have a clarion touch screen cd/mp3 player and 2 12" subs that dont fit in my tiny convertible trunk so i'm going to have to make a new box.. damn. I've heard some stereos have the air bags connected to their wiring harness and installing a deck could set them off, anyone know anything about this?

As for pictures i'll get some soon...
