Greetings, Pony Boys and Girls!

Hey everyone, another new guy here from Ontario, Canada. I've got a 2006 Redfire Mustang GT with Parchment leather interior. Had the dealer install chrome exhaust tips (should have been std on GT's) , powered by ford plenium cover and the molded mud guards and bug shield (daily driver on the QEW here 118kms (round trip to work) (73 miles). Too many trucks and stones on the roadways these days.
Complaints I have which should have been addressed.
(which are few)
1. No trunk release inside the car
2. Cup holder very awkward for a 5 spd guy
3. Rear end not painted (completely unforgivable in my opinion)

Since these pics, I've installed an MGW short throw shifter with the "grabber" 5 spd knob and some MGW billet upgrades in the interior. The stuff they have is top notch quality and I would recommend them without hesitation. The shifter is amazing and has totally changed the way I drive the car now ... compared to the spongy feel for the gear feeling.

My wife called me today and told me my "chemical guys" detailing order came in so that will be my project next week. Wash, clay bar, polish, and protect. I've never "clayed" before so this should be interesting. They seem to have a good rep with the detailing sites out there so I ordered the wash, clay bar with lube spray, pro polish for the minor swirls etc. and jet seal acrylic protection for a nice sealant. I also ordered a nice microfiber drying towel and microfiber polishing cloths.

I've also gone "Amsoil" and changed my dino oil (Canadian bound Mustang have regular oil put in from the factory and not the synthetic blend our American brothers get .... I read it from the manual .... go figure) I put full synthetic in with a new Amsoil filter at 1300 kms
(800 miles)

Looking ahead to winter storage I've already ordered a covercraft "noah" outdoor car cover (car will be stored on my asphalt driveway) and have been mulling over whether to just park the car on plywood or use jack stands.

Heh a little long winded here, but thought it would be a little more interesting read than "hey how ya doin' ... got me a stang!" :wink

welcome to the site. that's a nice looking car you got there. i agree about the cupholders being a little awkward. it's the same in the New Edge cars. i hate having something in the cupholder cause it feels like it gets in the way. so what other mod plans have you got?
