New guy from STL area

Hello everyone my name is Joe and I own a 2000 mustang gt. I will be getting my car back from the engine builder tomorrow. It went in about 2 months ago with 2 rods knocking and 3 spun bearings. I decided to do some minor mods. I started with an eagle forged and balanced stroker rotaing assembly. Then moved on to patriot stage 3 heads with their cams, professional products p&p intake, 30lb injectors, and new pro-m mass air meter. The car already had bbk longtubes with magnaflow x pipe, bbk 75mm tb, cai, 2800 rpm stall, 3.55s (soon to be 4.10s), blah blah blah. I set it up for low compression for a twin turbo kit. Until then I will be adding a NX 150 or 200 shot. This winter it will recieve all the suspension stuff it needs to hook up (if anyone has any advice that would be great). Hopefully the turbos can go on next winter. Then I will move to the interior. The car also has a cobra r fiberglass hood. The car is silver with blue mabelized flames on the hood and back to the doors. Oh yea and a tubular k member and front lower control arms. I think that is all but I will post my dyno #'s after I break the motor in and do a wot tune.

welcome to the site Joe. My 2000 GT is in the shop right now as well. i, too spun a rod bearing. i ordered a forged rotating assembly from VT but it hasn't shipped yet. it's a Cobra crank, Manely rods, Federal Mogul rod and main bearings, Diamond 19cc dishtop pistons w/ rings at 0.020" overbore. hopefully, i'll have my car back before too much longer. it sucks not being able to drive it. anyway, welcome to the site and post away. put up some pics of the carnage if you have any!

What were you doing in ESTL? You do have to be careful down there at night.

I know how it is to not be able to drive the car you want. I've been stuck driving my honda civic for two and a half months. I really have grown to hate that car. It does get about 40mpg so that kinda makes up for it. The forged rotating assembly is great. Once thats in it's time for serious power (and a new drivetrain). Anyway thanks everybody looks like a great website.

It was like 10AM. I was on my was to Nashville TN. Stopped for gas @ a BP. Its a pretty funny story...
