hello first post with some pics

this is my first post wanted to say hello and show some pics of my new ride. but I do need some help with a problem looking for help my car bottoms out at almost every driveway some one told me about an airbag lift kit. this would raise my car so I could ride over obsticals (driveway curbs,speedbumps)then lower it back to its original hight that its at now

Thats a bad looking ride man. very nice. Welcome to MM. Airbag lift kit doesnt sound like something that belongs on a stang, would add weight and slow it down. Try backing into the driveway. and as for the curbs stay away from them. Speedbumps well did you ever see the comercial with Jimmy Johnson jack-hammering up the speedbump?

I have the same kit, get used to driving like an old lady at entrances and exits with any type of incline/decline.

07stanggt, I don't think weight really matters for this instance, looks like 400 lbs of extra weight is already in the trunk.

If you bag the car, you need to find room for the compressor, with your car, your likely going to have to find a location under the car. Too much stereo equipment in the way to put it in the trunk. Keep a few things in mind, you set the ride height where you want it as a main setting. You also have a empty switch which would essentially put the car on the pavement. Bags become annoying for two reasons:

1st, when you leave the car at ride height while parked, the compressor stays active. Clicking on whenever a pressure loss occurs. Some of these kits leak down quite a bit. Those that do, tend to drain batterys when parked for more than 8 to 10 hours, because the compressor keeps refilling. The fix is to drain the bags when parked. This looks cool, but what a pain in the azz when you come out to the car. Before you take off you have to re-air the bags then drive off..

2nd, they ride like a cadillac, not a sports car. Mushy feel, although you won't feel rough road at all, it is a mustang and you ultimately want to be in tune with the road.

I did a bag install on a 99 GT and the guy really dislikes the leak down that occurs. We've used numerous other manufacturers bags and the leak down as well. For now he suffers..

I trade in a stock 07 gt I brought in dec of last yr for this car It came as is with all the body and engine mods already done the stereo is a pic from my other gt I traded in its still not in this car yet

welcome to the forum. slick looking ride. and i know what u mean about bottoming out. my suspension and body are stock and a couple weeks ago pulling out of a parking space my front bumper got stuck on that curb thing in front of the parking stall and when i backed out it cracked the front bumper, cant see it unless u get under the car. so i dont even wanna think about modding the body or dropping. take care of that body kit.

performance mods(long tube headers& x-pipe w/high flow cats wilwood brake system 14" 2 pc cross drilled slotted rotors 6piston calipers procharger H/O system(10psi 3core intercooler)lower chassis brace ADJ rear lower control arm ADJpan hard bar, lowering spring kit front sway bar bushings & k link) 545 engine hp. just copied this list from Cervinis add I live 10 mins from their business like I said in a different post I brought a 07 gt last dec. when I saw this I had to have it so after a week of wheelin&deelin
