So I get banned for wanting to send a PM to a forum vendor asking for pricing on the Whipple HO kit??
I've been a longstanding member of LS1Tech and Corvette Forum, and just recently purchased a Mustang. I've never seen a rule where you need a minimum # posts to send PMs, so I was trying to get my 5 posts so I could get pricing on a Whipple HO or Saleen 550 kit without having to create a post that most people would ask me why I posted instead of sending a PM. As I told White99, I've always been a diehard GM guy (which is why I was a little leary about introducing myself). My last performance car was a built C5 with a forged motor and D1SC that put down 720rwhp. It was great, but to be honest, I've always enjoyed more of the big block-type power delivery, rather than the rev it to the moon delivery of the centrifugal. This is the first Ford I've ever owned. It's a 2007 Redfire Metallic California Special GT (5spd), and it's bone stock at this point. Don't plan to get anywhere near as crazy with this car. I'd like to go with either a Whipple or Saleen twin screw along with an axle-back exhaust (for the sound) and call it good from a hp perspective. I'd like to see about 450rwhp, which seems attainable (may need to go with some LT's and midpipe, but it seems like that should cover it). Other than that, I might like to replace the shifter, and do a few other minor mods. Really not looking at getting into forged internals, upgraded transmission, heavy as hell clutch, etc... Just want something I can have fun with and drive daily. Kind of excited to start working on this car. After installing heads, cam, and an 8-rib D1SC setup on the Vette (which requires dropping the steering rack, pulling the radiator, etc), throwing on a Whipple or Saleen looks like a walk in the park Plus I've got a buddy who's a *HUGE* Mustang guy who's got a real nice shop that might let me use it if I'm working on a Mustang  Paul...
