New member in England

First of all I would like to say a big hello to everyone as I am a new member.

Well here's my story. I moved to Michigan with my family when I was very young and lived there for 14 years on and off. I moved back to England in May and imported my Mustang back as well. It was a nightmare getting the car over here, lots of delays and annoyances. That was all forgotten when I finally got the call last week that I could come pick up the car after finally getting everything sorted. It was a great feeling, certainly like getting a new car again. It's good fun driving it over here apart from the expense and definitely gets lots of attention. There is a following for Mustangs in England and have a few meets this month to attend.

Already had a few people try to mess with me. (base Audi TT's are quick?) I definitely would like to get a blower eventually. Car gets a lot of thumbs up more than anything though which is nice to see.

Unfortunately, unlike when I was in the States, girls aren't attracted to english accents here as they've got them as well. I just have to rely on the Bassani's.

Nice ride and oh yeah I bet it was finally fantastic to get your ride back! I'm on one of the UK Stang sites, they are totally into Stangs.: ) Yeah it's really alot of paperwork to get a car overseas....LOTS of red tape.

I want to visit someday.

Welcome to the site! What part of England are you in?

Yeah, shipping vehicles is a PITA. A buddy I was stationed with in England had his 96 shipped over, and when it got off the boat, the wheel well was filled with concrete. He was irate! Glad yours got there in one piece with little/no damage. I'll take weeks of paperwork and annoyances as long as it gets there without major damage
