New guy (intro) & some noob questions :)

hi,
Just bought my 2000 GT vert almost 3 weeks ago and I still love it like its not even mine yet . I've always disliked mustangs through highschool and such, mainly because the town I lived in was a prissy stuck up area, and EVERYONE drove them. But they drove them like they were caddy's, not the cars they are. They were all silent, slow, stock....yeah. Anyways, so I drove the '00 GT vert and had to have it right there. I instantly loved it! It was exactly not the mustang I was used to. Power, straight piped, sexiness .
So anyways, its a black '00 GT vert w/ black cobra wheels. 265/35/r18's on the rear. Not sure what cats, but cats to H pipe, then just straight, sound really good for straight pipe actually. 2.5" I believe. Not sure the gearing, but from what I'm reading I'd like to drop some 4.10 gears in it. Engine is stock from what I can tell (its my first v8). Just a K&N air filter.
Here are my noob questions.
1. What size tire should I be putting on the rear? I know these 265's are way to small. The rim even sticks out further than the tire. I'm thinking 285's at least, maybe 315's if they'll fit. 305 possibly?
2. Are 4.10 too much for a '00 GT vert, or should I put on like 3.73. I'm a torque adict so I cant have too much of it.
3. Anything I should know, or look out for on the 4.6l? Any known issues that a noob like me should always keep in mind?

Thanks guys, and great site.

3. Anything I should know, or look out for on the 4.6l? Any known issues that a noob like me should always keep in mind? bolt-ons dont do much for this engine compared to heads and cams or FI. if you want to get the most out of your car instantly get a supercharger, turbo, or nitrous. pretty much you can spend 3k on bolt ons and have like 270rwhp or 3k on forced induction and have 350+

Thanks guys, and great site.

oh and not to bask...just to inform....striaght pipes would mean you dont have an h or an x...like youd have one pipe that comes from the header all the way back on the left and one one the rite.

4 cats?

probably the stock midpipe

do the pipes have brand on them? and do they get a little wider where the mufflers should be or just 2.5 inchs all the way?

Just so you know straight pipes mean hes got no cats or mufflers, they can still have an H. Thanx for your intelligent input once again.
