2009 Car Club Cruises, Shows, Info - WA State Area

Hey gang,

So it's the beginning of '09, not too soon to be thinking of when and where all the local events will be taking place. So far I only know of a few dates to a few Mustang/Ford car shows in the greater Puget-Sound area. As the dates near I'll post them up.

If anyone hears of any local cruises, car shows, or otherwise, please post up so the rest of us can be aware these things are going on.

Right now I'm just a lowly member of Pierce County Mustang Club, and of Mustangs Northwest, so I get a lot of insider info before their websites get updated with new dates. I'll keep you clued in best I can.

P.S. I know of about 5 Seattle-Tacoma area MM'ers on the site. It ought to be fun come summer if we all set up our own cruises and what not. Personally, I'd like to cruise on over to Ocean Shores / Long Beach when it warms up. Let me know about this idea of mine, if it sounds good, let's get the ball a rollin'.

Wow! How in the hell have I been a Mustang owner up here and never before seen that site before?! Well I signed up, thank you very much. But I'll continue to update MM with what's up in the northwest.

Sounds like I missed one hell of a cruise on Alki. Next time, next time...

I'm with Bob. We've got a lot of local guys and gals (both on StangNation and on MM) of which I'd love to cruise with, and have a few beers, things like that.

Bob if you need some helping hands on that car... sounds like you may... give me a holler bro. I'm no backyard mechanic but always happy to observe

Good little tip for anyone who seriously plans on cruising is to go out and buy yourself a small 2-way radio. I went to Joe's (GI Joes) and picked up a pair of them for only $30. They are handy, and fun, on cruises. Almost a necessity if you're in an unfamiliar part of town and down want to get lost.

Well they come in pairs, so a lot of us have a spare to lend out, but if there's not enough to go around I'd hate to be the only one left without a coms device.

Haha. I already have my 'talkies for the port townsend drive with the Germans (VW Audi guys) on march 1st. But I'm tired of being only one of two stangs, so name a time and place and my little sixxer will purr by with you guys.

Oh, the 21st or 28th there's a group cruising to Lacey, and thereabouts. Fairly good sized group, just haven't set an official date yet.

I'm meeting a few guys in my neck of the woods... (north Seattle) to make the cruise.

Anyone here interested PM me and when I get the details I'll give you a call.

There will be a dyno in Lacey for those wanting to participate - right now it's roughly $50 for 3 pulls, no tune.

I'm tryin to get new tires right now. Just waitin on my tax return. If I get it in time I'll go, if not I'll have to pass and wait for the next one. My tires are bald, so I need new ones bad.

I've got 3 good tires and one bad tire... as the previous owner put on 3 245/45/ZR17s and one, and only one, 255/45/ZR17, and the 255 is worn heavily. Weird. I just haven't gotten around to tire/wheel shopping yet.
