California Mustang Club will be hosting our 2nd Annual Cruise to knotts:

Friday April 20th


Northern California cars (anyone coming from Bay area and Sacramento) Will meet off I5

Patterson Truck Stop
Patterson, CA 95363
HWY 5 and Sperry Ave/Diablo Grande Pkwy exit 434


This is just off I5.. exit Diablo PKWY, make a left at the light and the Truck Stop is straight a head

Fresno's group will be meeting up at the Texaco/Taco Bell at Hwy 99 & Herndon just north of Fresno at 8am. (if your coming south on the 99, take the Herndon exit, go to the light (Herndon Ave), turn right, Texaco will be on the left.

The NorCal group expected time of departure is 8:00am sharp

Fresno's group expected time of departure is 8:30am sharp.

Sacramento Group meeting spot.. TBA



At the half way point, we will be stopping for a very short time in Kettleman City for Lunch, its the only place that's that big for food and gas. We are working on a time line for the cruise since last year it was kind of a cluster leaving Kettleman City, no one knew what was going on and people just left in groups.




Before going into the LA area, we will stop at the base of the Grapevine prior to going up and over the mountains to re-group and stretch our legs one more time. This will give us another chance to gas up for the people that need it. This is where we will meet up with the Fresno group!

Direction of travel from the Grapevine Petro Truck Stop will be as follows: I5 south to the 210East to the 605South to the
91East to Beech Blvd and go right to your respective hotels.


At the end of the cruise, you will be pulling into your respective hotels. After some time to allow people to check in and rest for a bit, we will be meeting in small groups to enjoy the local restaurants - one of which will be:

Outback Steakhouse
7575 Beach Boulevard
Buena Park, CA 90622

Meeting for dinner at 8:00pm.

Well I tellya I might just take a couple days off work in April to take the car down n have a few guys come along for the trip. Wouldn't show my car tho... not her time, yet.

I'm not so sure I'm entering this year, got a few issues with my car that need addressing before I'm going to enter in any big shows... (ripped leather seats, need a new windshield, headlights, couple dings here n there, etc etc)... so until then I'm sticking to local shows, lol.

Too bad there's not a young-owners class I could enter in, for if there was I'd probably be game, but I still plan on attending, to finally get a taste of a big Ford gathering (as there is nothing up here that pairs with something like that).

damn. MustangsWest up here in Olympia has a group of roughly 15 making the trip, 11 cars in total, I'm still teetering on whether or not I should "blow" all of my year's vacation on this though. We'll see and I'll letcha know.

It's a shame there aren't more people in the NW here on MM that are chomping at this bit like I am because damn it this event looks fn awesome and I'll kill myself (figuratively of course) if I don't go. lol.

Honestly couldn't tell ya. I believe last I heard they were making it a two-day trip down there, but I'm not sure of where they're staying the night but I've contacted them to try and figure this out. If there is someone in your group that the club owner of the group up here should contact, pm me with the info and I'll see what I can do.

hmmm... looks like I'm gonna have to use my spidey senses to get this plan into action. I've got the guy's name and email address and talked to him once a month ago but haven't been able to contact him for quite some time... I dunno but I swear there are a ton of people making their way to it but I suppose there is still time to make arrangements (though I can't go gosh darn it I've got 2 jobs and can't take time off until june)

Let me see what I can do, I've already given Mustangswest your club's info. Maybe I'll just try and try again
