03/04 Cobra front bumper (aftermarket)

I purchased a front and rear bumper from Blue Oval Industries, and the rear was genuine ford, and the front was aftermarket. But those of you who aren't convinced that the aftermarket bumper will fit, it does. It fits better than the rear did, actually.
I'm trying to save alot of you money by telling you this, because I know how expensive the genuine ford bumpers are.

So here are the pictures. Hope this convinces some of you.

I paid 650 for both, shipping was about $200 but I'm in Canada So the states would be cheap. Ford wants 568 just for the rear so...

How was the fitment with the GT hood? I have a Cobra bumper bein painted and shipped to me sometime this month. I was told that the GT/V6 hood had a issue with it but it was fixed by moving the mounting holes on the header panel back about 1/2".

How did you compensate for yours? Detailed info would be much appreciated and +reps

the fitment kind of sucks, i had to raise that hood latch up a bit and move the bump stops on each side up a bit so the hood didnt shake, but it doesnt touch anymore, so its all good

How is the alignment with the fenders on the hood? Does the hood protrude up a bit over the fender?

And if I am correct, it took moving the latch up and the hood stops? How hard was it to move the latch up?

Help

I know that this post if over 2 years old but I need a little help if you can. I purchased the aftermarket bumper, not from where you purchased, got it painted and well the body shop can't close the hood and the grille doesn't fit. The question I have is this:

1. Will buying the grille delete kit fit this bumper?
2. All you have to do is just raise the latch up and move the bump stops up and that fixed it?

I am attaching a picture to verify if this is how your bumper looks. Thanks in advance.

Grille delete won't fix it.
You can raise the bump stops to make it close.
The cobra hood is just a bit different in front than the gt

Thanks for the help. The grille delete question was do I have to buy the grille delete kit to replace the old grille? Or what did you do? Your bumper looks exactly like mine. Thanks a million.

If you bought the grille delete kit you'd only be using 2 out of 3 pieces. Make sure you buy one that says it's 3 pieces. The plastic piece that lays over the grille and mounts to the bumper mounts can not be used so that's a drag but you don't NEED the grille delete, your stock grille can not be used I don't think. it does look better though.
