Maximum Motorsports Full Length Subframe Connectors

Just had them installed on my 96 GT and I must say they made an amazing difference in the way the car feels. Car no longer creaks when I sit my fat butt down in it, no longer wobbles the back end around if i catch a bumpy surface while turning, and the overall ride quality definitely seems to have increased. I originally feared that the stiffening would also stiffen up the ride as well - not the case at all. I definitely feel like the ride smoothed out a lot, and especially over train tracks, the stability has improved. Just for kicks, found an empty parking lot and tried some "evasive" maneuvers. Definitely more planted than it used to be. Also very stable coming out of the gate. Used to hesitate a little bit and if i powershifted hard into 2nd you could feel the whole car "squeeze up" as i caught traction. Seem to have lost some feeling of when the tires break loose along with that stiffening though. Overall a very good investment - honestly wish it was one of my first mods on the car. Spend $130 or how much ever the non-powdercoated ones are on 50resto.com, and another $80 to have them welded in by a very good exhaust shop. Then $5 for a couple rattle cans. One complaint I do have about them is that my front control arm bushings were going before I had the subframe connectors welded (evident by a "pop" when braking hard) and with the car as solid as it is now, the "popping" is a little bit more common than it used to be. I guess you guys will be seeing a review for 03-04 FRPP cobra control arms or (cash permitting) some type of tubular k-member+coilover kit sometime in the future

I am getting these at the same time as I get lowering springs and shocks/struts. Should be a completely different car.

baker they sat in the garage for a *very* long time before i got around to putting them on. over a year i believe. and then one garage cleaning morning i decided enough was enough and made the phone call. honestly i brought my car in to an exhaust shop right as they opened, and walked next door to the gas station to grab a ton of snacks figuring id be there for a while. they had them installed in probably 45 minutes tops. had a ton of snacks for when i got home though . on ramps and off ramps are *very* fun now that the car has a bit more of a planted feel. i really cant wait to get something done with my front suspension (broke college kid)

I agree, the sub frames made a huge difference in the overall feel of the car.

I have a 86 and I'm planning on getting subframe connectors from maximum motorsports as well ,but I dont understand why I wouldn't want the XL full subframe connectors. Basically I'm wondering y is there 2 options and witch would work better for me?
