K & N filter/intake


okay so i got a call from a friend that has a friend thats selling a used K & N filter/ intake system to me for 80 bucks..what do you think?..is it worth it?..can i get it cheaper or newer for a little more?...feel free to tell me if i should get something else instead ..

...i thought maybe it would notified you when you log in and since i never saw anything i figure no one was responding..see i have dsl and my email is with msn and i just use internet explorer for the net and your right i dont ever really use my email unless its for some college thing..wish i could get notifications on the spot but i can never install msn again..sucks..thank for the help

I personally think k&n is overrated. You don't see much hp increase with the k&n cai set ups. A 2007 GT ran 260whp with mid pipe and exhaust/k&n cai. My 05 with just mid pipe and magnapacks ran 260whp. So I pulled the same numbers he did with just my midpipe and catback system. Just my personal opinion

I have the K&N CAI for my 09 GT, and it was worth the money new. Definite increase in power, engine noise in higher RPMs at WOT was also a little more satisfying. 80 was a great price for it.
