Maximum Motorsports steering shaft

It only took about 30 minutes to swap out with the exception of waiting for the rtv to cure before install. It removed all of the play from my worn out rag joints and I never have to worry about it going bad. The steering is crisp and very responsive. It feels much better than the stock shaft.

The only negative I have about it is the lower clamp uses an allen bolt and a hex head would be easier to get torque on to tighten up. If I wasn't in such a hurry to get it in I would have replaced the allen bolt before instaling.

Do it yourself, it's super easy. Hell I have long tubes and it was still a breeze.

Instructions said to remove the plastic sleeve that goes through the firewall and reinstall it on the MM one. It said to rtv it on so I did.

Did your stock steering shaft hit your headers? If so did the MM one clear them better?

No, the shaft had to come out to get the headers in but the stock shaft had no contact with the headers.

The MM one is actually collapsable so it was pretty easy to get into position.

The shaft is much slimmer than the stock shaft. I didn't particularly need any more clearence but I would say it would definately give you more than the stock shaft does.

I've got one too.
Very easy to install, but I will add a tip,

The Stock shaft collapses at BOTH ends. Collapse BOTH ends, and it will come right out.

Do the same for the MM piece, and it will go right in.
