Lumonics Headlight Bulbs

As can be seen in my other post on this forum I have been extremely unhappy with my Lumonics bulbs purchased off AmericanMuscle.com ... While I am still a loyal customer to American Muscle, the Lumonics bulbs are horrible! Even with my high beams on I could barely see (yes ive adjusted them). And they are only 37 watts as opposed to 70 from similar brands, or 110 the headlights say they can handle. General thought, try a different brand. Sylvania SS seems to be praised around here...

i also got the luminics from AM. they worked fine for a while. i did notice that my high beams were about the same as the regular lights. i put them on my car in august, i think and about 2 weeks ago, one of them just died. so i put some sylvania silverstars. much better IMO

really? I am terribly unsatisfies with anything Sylvania has to offer. For the price that is. Their lights aren't "white" like they claim, and visibility is hardly improved, if any, over the "yellow" bulbs of other companies. And the silverstar fog lights burn out so much faster than other bulbs I've tried; I am just largely unsatisfied. However, I did right the company about how short - lived their lights are, and they sent me a few replacements in appreciation of my honesty, and motivated concern. So while I like the company, I dislike their products. It's a love/hate relationship, lol.

Ive had Silverstars ,they were nice.

Ive got Luminics Ultra Whites now. I love the blue tint. They arent as bright as the SS's IMO. But look kewl.

Also got the JDM yellow fogs.

AM is "iffy" with their customer service and product reliability . Try Stangmods . They have great customer service from my experience.

I've tried them before, yes they are blue... but brightness is not good. You are basically buying a bulb with a BLUE glass.

I bought Lumonics bulbs from the manufacturer. Do not buy these bulbs. They would not take the bulbs back and send me a new set. They were just as bad as the old set. On low beam you can barley see. I used these bulbs on a 2007 Mustang GT.

I put in some SS Ultras back in January and when i put them in there was a noticeable difference in the light output. And i looked at mine at night when i put them in and they were white. There still not even close to hids though

Back when I had Luminics bulbs they melted my drivers side headlight connector. I now had H.I.D headlights and absolutely love them. Would never ever go back on any of my vehicles.

Before I got my HID's, I tried Luminics - hated them. SS were much better. Now, I have RetroSolutions HID's and I'll NEVER go back.

I had the Luminics as well as they were just plain bad. I think they sacraficed brightness to give it the vivid white/blue tint. They opped for looks over performance.

HIDs ftw

I have luminics as well.... Mixed feelings for me. Blue looks sick nasty but brightness is about the same as stock. And like a month after installation, one of my fogs burnt out. When I took it out the halogen(er watev it's called) was completely broke off! So I bought two more. I was pissed

Oh by the way, anyone else notice that is says "for off road use only" on the box? WTF is up wit that shit ??

probably because of the color and the fact that they actually dimmer than stock bulbs and really dont provide a safe amount of light for most driving conditions.

Its really more for the company to protect itself. They state that its for off-road use, so that if somebody gets in trouble for having them on public streets, the company cant get sued.
