With the original Goodyears bald as heck, it was time for new tires.

I shopped everywhere. I called every national and local shop for pricing. I got opinions on brands and makes.

I know this is going to sound crazy but I got the best price at the Ford dealer. I live in the Tampa area so its not like I live in the boonies. Ford told me that they are being very aggressive with parts/service. They want the business and said will match the prices on anything i need. Personally, I'd rather have a trained Ford machanic working on my car than some angry teenager at some national tire chain.

I bought 4 Hankook R106. Its a V speed rated tire. 225-55-R16s.
Ended up being $435 for tax and everything.

I cant speak for the treadwear or wet driving yet. So far, Ive noticed a huge drop in tire noise and some incredible grip. These tires stick to the road and really give a sense of confidence. They have that cool looking "V" tread that makes the car look a bit meaner. On sharp turns, the sidewall holds perfect. I noticed on the Goodyears, the sidewall felt "soft" under hard corning.

I will report back later on the tread life. So far, it has proven to be a better tire than the Goodyear Eagles. The price was great too. I still cant believe it from the Ford dealer!

Im running hankook ventus sport k104's and love it. This is my third set and havent had a complaint yet. Ive been to the track 4 times so far this summer and its performing just great. Of course street radials on the track speaks for itself but they handle pretty damn good as long as I heatum enough.
