Unless you are trying to lose weight on the car or if you just like the look of carbon fiber I would just go with a fiberglass hood...

But I have to say ong DSG Mustangs the carbn fiber looks nice...

The only prob. with fiberglass is that it starts to warp with heat and and time. The hood on my car is fiberglass and its about 2 yrs. old. Well the hood started to warp a little and the metal latch plate ripped out of it when i was going down the road, it crushed in my roof and tore off my hinges and cowl panel. A solution is polyurethane in most cases its cheaper than CF and more durable than FB.

my opinion: go with carbon fiber, it doesn;t hurt to lose a little weight. The weight loss will only end up make ur car accerelate faster

If, however, you don't paint your CF hood, it won't last more than a couple years. Ultraviolet breaks down the epoxy used to bond the fibers, and it will become extremely flexible after a few years.
