Mac Catback Exhaust / Prochamber

these two items make up my exhaust system as of now, I had them installed at Street Motorsports in Virginia Beach about one month after buying my car. First off the Mac catback system was purchased from the partsshopper section of stangnet for $300 shipped, second is the Mac prochamber purchased for $100 used from the owner of Street Motorsports (Don really cool guy) both pieces were added the same day and the difference was night and day, the sound is awasome and this mod I could actually feel a difference (I had a stupid grin on my face the whole ride home) now there here a few downsides ie the chrome that Mac uses is not that great so I already have some fading, and I also recommend going with 3 1/2 inch tips they will fill in those bumper slits a lot better then the 3 inch tips they offer. also when installing a prochamber or any other offroad H/X pipe you will need a set of mil eliminators (cost around $50 or if you have a tuner you can just shut them off), these are necessary so your car will not throw a bad o2 sensor code, as you know installing a offroad X/H pipe means you are getting rid of emissions equipment so check with your state regs on inspections reguarding emissions. over all I am very happy with these two mods and recommend them as a first to anyone.

great write up!! i personally have MAC LT headers, MAC Prochamber, and the MAC 3 1/2" dumps... i like the way this setup sounds, but i love the MAC 2 1/2" catback much better. sounds ten times better!!! i believe i paid $389 for the headers and another $30 for O2 extensions. you will need the O2 extensions by the way, if you get LT headers....

I have a MAC catback and am really considering getting a prochamber, is the sound pretty deep (not too raspy)? And does it increase the flow of exhaust much more than stock? Are the power gains pretty good? I hope it sounds good with the mac catback. Where could I get a good deal on one?

Had a MAC catback on my silver V6 before I ran it up under an F-150 and I loved it. The 03 GT I just bought has flowmaster mufflers on it from the previous owner, but I'm thinking I might get rid of them in favor of the MAC exhaust.

My buddy has an o/r x pipe with Mac mufflers and it sounds nasty (Good nasty). It's a great setup if you want an exhaust that will turn some heads.
