I did enjoy the warm weather the past two days, after I have been freezing my ass off here in Ojai a constant 50 degrees in my house, lower at night.

Yeah.

You guys can actually get storms as bad as us, being so close to the lake. I've been stuck in that area a few times over the years in winter storms.

We just get hammered like that all winter long is all, and because we typically never get back up anywhere near freezing after December or so, it builds up and hence the huge banks.

Worst we ever got was 35 something inches in one storm in 24 hours, and that was the only time I saw our little town shut down. Even the plows couldn't get around, and they had to bring out heavy equipment to clear the roads and haul snow away. I remember our huge Walmart parking lot being half full of gigantic piles of snow. lol

I work snow removal for the County Engineers and boy am I glad we haven't gotten anything close to the snow you guys have had.

I have only seen a couple winters that had 4+ft of snow that stayed. As a child it was the best thing ever, digging out tunnels and making a "base" out of it. I remember spending all day at the park making this cool little thing, returning the next day to find that a few other people liked the idea and expanded on it. Those were fun days, now anything above an inch is an inconvenience leading me to rant on and on about how I hate winter.
