Emay, your camera must really be nice. I guess thats what a couple thousand will get you. So could you have gone with a higher ISO with little noise?

I gotta jump my iso to 800-1600 WITH a Low F/stop lens to shoot indoors. im jealous

Went from a 40d to the newly released 7d, big learning curve for me, not used to it at all. The light meter is finicky, requires you to be super conscious at all times which is nice, but it's not forgiving.

The good thing is when you nail a shot, it's tack sharp and requires zero editing.

Well a few weekends ago I was up at our cabin and my friend came along with me. She has a 50D and she basically said "have at it" and let me mess with it. Now just to let you know; I've never used a DSLR so if these aren't "professional" quality oh well

Looks great. Are you using an SLR camera? If so, i think it would look better with a Polarized filter on it. This will minimize all the Shine/sparkle/glare reflecting off the water. But i think you did a great job. I think i would of raised the aperature a bit more and lower the exposure a tad to bring out the blue sky. over all well done
