think of the aperture as the pupil of an eye. if you're inside your house and you walk outside into the sun, your pupils will automatically adjust and become smaller because there is more light going into your eye than when you were inside.

Bell Tower at CSUCI (California state University Channel Islands) Formerly Camarillo State Mental Hospital. The buildings that are sitting vacant that have not been renovated yet, are truly creepy.

These pics are in the photo contest thread as well. I've been wanting to photograph this old house and windmill since the first time that I saw it over a year ago. Just happened to get lucky with the timing and position of the sunset. The pics aren't edited other than a very slight tweak in the contrast and saturation. Definitely some of my favorite pics that I've taken so far...

Here's a couple pics after the sunset. They're not near as good but you can see a little more of the subject than just the silhouette.
