You dont have to double cut it to get the cross stitching. Just change directions everytime you mow it ( especially during the summer when you mow your grass twice a week ). One thing that will help it look nice is to take a tennis ball container and fill it with sand and bolt it down to the flap on the back of the mower ( that keeps the shavings from being tossed at your ankles ) and it will lay the grass down as you go over it. They use a similar method for the baseball fields except with a few thousand dollar device and not a tennis ball container... ( but they do double cut baseball diamonds as well ).

i'm glad to see this thread still thriving. my rechargeable batteries for my camera committed suicide... as soon as i get some new ones I will start to get back into the camera scene... kinda miss it actually.

LOL, no. I mow a different dirrection each time I mow. 1st time east/west then north/south followed by diagnal one way & then the other the next time.
Then start all over again.

I'm redesigning our backyard here at home for my dad right now. Going to relay brick in area's where tanbark currently is...maybe route another path to the pool gate. We'll see how it goes

I'll change it about 100 times before I'm happy with it.
