painting with light is good stuff.. this is just a lazer pointer couldn't find where I wrote the T in the blank black sky so I couldn't cross it lol.. Blew the background completely out

i've always wanted to try painting with light. never have found a good excuse to not try it aside from i'm lazy.

What shutter speed did you use? I tried using a laser but my camera wouldn't quite pick it up. Of course I was in a PITCH black room, so maybe thats why.

weems, that shot was iso 100, ap 2.8, and I set the shutter to hold open for 15 seconds on the money.. Room was almost pitch black. You can see the exif data in the properties of my picture, I leave it in tact.

Weems, dark colored canvas was back there.

Because your going to be in a very low light situation, dark colors don't show up. If you have a Dark Green, Maroon, Black (obviously) or chocolate brown sheet you can land that shot with a black appearance.

Selective coloring. Not sure what software your using, it will be different among application, but a google search for selective coloring and the app you use will get you the answers and tutorials on how to do that..

Some of these newer point and shoots also can make everything gray scale except one color you select via menu, such as red. Everything else goes gray scale except red automatically. Nice feature if your into that type of shot..
