At least I got the correct number and letter. But anyways...I'm looking right now at the Canon Rebel T1i. I would love the 50D but that's way out of my price range. Thoughts? (I'm a DSLR idiot)

What about a used low shutter actuation 40 or 50D. With the release of the 7D there's a boat load of them up for sale.

The T1i is a great camera, but I agree with Emay. If you can find a gently used 40 or 50D for a good price, jump all over it.
