i was wondering what you were doin with the motor. i remember you were toyin with the idea of a 5.4. you doin a 5.0 stroker?

yeah the 5.4 wasn't a bad thing but Im on a budget build here and to do what i want'ed I would have had to bought a long block plus have the motor built. So its cheaper to go with the 5.0 stroker kit cause its only $1100 with forged internals. Then after that I can get it tuned one the 150 and be safe with decent power. So thats what I have decided on.

No It was messed up lol. I bought a 4.6 short block for $175. It sucks cause mine was a windsor and this one is a romeo. But oh well. I put the crankshaft out of the windsor in the romeo to make sure it would fit b/c the windors crank is an 8-bolt and the romeo is a 6-bolt. But now the kit comes with a crankshaft so I won't be needing either of them. Im making a video of it to so it will be done sometime after the dyno woot woot.

Hopefully in the next month or so. Maybe two months. It depends on how quick everything works out. The guy Im taking the motor to gets real busy sometimes but he is a great engine builder so I can wait for it be done right ya know. It won't take me long to get the motor back in there it jus the motor work thats goin to take a while. Hey you got any other pics of those smoked healights by chance? I have be wanting some for my car to go with the black out look.

Off-topic: 00Vert- how much louder is side exhaust than a dump behind the axle? I'm throwing Flowmaster 44's on this summer and I want to run them out of the side like the 2000 Cobra R. Any complaints?

Its no more off topic than we already are lol.I had turndowns on my car for a while. It gave it a great sound at idle and in the rpm band but like cruising it was loud inside the car and outside it was quiet as a mouse b/c all of the exhust is under the car. so when its directed outward Im sure its a god bit louder than dumps. American muscle makes a good looking side exhaust kit that resembles the cobra r

they arnt really dark at all. im gonna buy the ones with clear corners off of amarican muscle. they look way better than the chrome ones that were on the car originally.

if you plan on goin really low with the car you will bottom out a lot. it wont be louder than dumping the mufflers... it might sound louder dumped cause the sound will bounce of the pavment and the into the car.

the things i dont like are ground clearence and when you sit in traffic for a while with the window down the fumes come in the car some times.

things i like are the look and when you drive by any thing the sound bounces off it and right in the window lol

Gotcha! I'm as low as I want to go, and I lowered the front almost half an inch more than the back for just that reason. I def. didn't think about the fact that it might be louder now. Good to know!

i dont think youll have the same issuse as me but your gonna want to watch out for speed bumps and anything else like that cause it could hool the side pipes and rip them off.

Yeah the ones from american muscle are the ones I want. The ones i have just have the black housing.
