383 Build Pics

I was bored so I thought I would share some of the pics of my "economic" 383 build. This is for my F250 for pulling my car trailer. I will only have a bout $2000 wrapped up into this build from start to finish (running in the truck). Now before you say anything about the heads, I know they arent the best but like I said this is an economic build and I had these off my 302 with only 3000 miles on them along with the cam and roller lifters.

Eagle I beam Rods

Keith Black Domed 10.5:1 pistons

Cleaned Block

Cylinder #2 needed to be sleaved

E6 Heads

Degreeing Cam (96 F150 roller cam)

Modified Block to accept roller lifters

Eagle 383 stroker crank

Oil pan before and after

I will post more as the build progresses. Should have some more by the end of the week

Nothing says love like Krylon. Congrats on the budget 383 for the 3/4 ton. Makes me wanna go buy an older 3/4 ton and build similar just for bragging rights.

Pistons are now in, Melling high volumn oil pump is now in. Will have some pics in a bit. Gasket kit showed up today so tomorrow I should have the oil pick up on along with the front cover and the oil pan all bolted up

it was left over from my valve covers. This whole build is going to be black to help pull the internal heat out of the engine

I know the heads suck but for what I have wrapped up into this thing it isnt bad, and when things start picking back up and I have some extra cash I can also do a head swap on it.
