I concur with H&R SS springs. My car looks down right savage with them. Just don't do it half assed. Gotta get cc plates, shocks and struts when you use H&R springs.

Why do people insist in cutting springs? They're cheap enough to buy. Do it right.

just save up if you can't afford it it. Im tellin you, i HATED spending money on lowering, because i wanted to do it Right which was expensive. So i bought, X2 ball joints, CC Plates, Springs, Shocks and Struts, strut tower and bump steer etc. and the price came to 1100. It litterally killed me to buy all the little shit, like CC plates and X2 ball joints, and the Bump steer. Expensive parts and they are sooo little. BUT in the end im glade i did it, and my car handles like a champ. I love it, and id do it again. So i think if you can't do it at the moment, just keep saving up. you'll be glade you did everything all at once. This way you dont have to keep going back in and installing shit. You might as well just install it all at once while your in there. Thats how i look at it.
BUt to answer your question... NO you do not need Shocks and struts but evenually you will. The stock struts and shocks are not made to compress that much with the new lowered ride height. they will eventually fail. CC plates, you may need them and you may not. Some people do while others dont, not sure why... Bump steer and X2's are up to you if you got the extra money. I do not know how my car would of handled without them though since i installed it all at once. But people told me they recommend the bump steer. And most people dont do the X2 i've noticed. and you will need an alignment after the new springs are installed.
