1999 Cobra Burnout shots

took some burnout and donut shots of a friend's Rio Red '99 Cobra.
side skirts and left sidescoop are in a body shop being painted.

Nice control on that huge ass donut, more like a drift around that turn around. But yeah... exhaust sounds nasty! I'm guessing Magnapacks safi.

stock manifolds, Bassani O/R X-pipe, and weld-in Flowmasters. we dont know what series because they came on the car when he got it but they are much much louder than 40 series.

I'm not a big fan of the raspyness when revved up, but I like it. I think if it had an H it would sound amazing

And they are probably super 44's

maybe, but they must be old Super 44's or something because i looked under the car and the mufflers werent black like the Super 44 i have in my garage

Yeah, and with that much of an open exhaust you can hear that piston slap when you first start it up... ford needs to put bigger cams in our stangs! And safi, when are you gonna lower the cobra?

Apparently cutting 3/4 a coil off of a vert cobra spring = same ride height as stock on a coupe...fml

It has lowered a bit since i've taken pictures (the pic in the sig was before i did the springs)...I just need it to lower maybe another half an inch and it'll be perfect

Ahhhh dude, that sucks... i guess i missed that. All that work and you have to redo it? Damn, i didnt think verts put THAT much extra on the springs that they had an extra 3/4 coil, i just thought they were stouter. Well, i'm lowering mine sometime this month.

So i'm pretty excited.

Lefty, your car seems like it would be a sleeper. Do you have stock mufflers or is your car loud?

they have to be something like that. i'll snap a pics of one of the mufflers once he gets his skirts, GT side scoops, and 01 Cobra rear bumper back from paint and we go take more pics

Right now I have the stock catback on it w/ an off-road ProChamber. Yes it's loud and it actually sounds sexy w/ the stock catback. I have a Mac Catback but I took it off for winter storage since it sat outside last year and I never put it back on this summer (don't ask why

) So I'm going to put it back on over the winter as the car will be in storage inside the garage this year.

Why are there two different tires on the front?

The both look like Michelins, the passenger side being a PS2 and the driver side a regular Pilot Sport.

but he is getting all new tires. which is why he smoked the crap out of some 295 wide BFG KDW's without caring
