anyone around here sell their photo's?

thought about trying to produce some artsy photos i could make a little extra cash off of. anyone have any experience?

People seem to be able to sell their photos on Etsy.com .. its worth a shot at least.

I've made some good money with a few of my shots. This one below for example has landed me about $2100.00 over an 18 month span (purposely reduced and compressed) Sells most often as a 12"x38" landscape print. I use exposuremanager.com as my gallery and they do all the printing and shipping for you inhouse. Trouble is getting clientel to see the photos, you have to kind of direct them there.

No sweat, I forgot to mention, there is a yearly charge there. Forget the cost right now, Somewhere in the 80.00 a year range I think. Steep if your not moving pics fairly frequently, but the print service is top notch and if there ever is a problem, it's squared away in a snap. Additionally you can set the parameter for when you get a check cut to you for your profits. Monthly statistics are published as well so the 80.00 covers a good bit of handling they do on your behalf.

It would be if it came in one shot. It's a trickle sort of thing. I'm not pushing it either, friends and family started it, from there friends of friends of friends have continued to purchase. That was across 18 months so I'm not retiring off it for sure.

What it's done for me is opened a few opportunities. Some portraiture stuff for high school pics, little league photos and such.

funny part about it, when it becomes work, I enjoy it very little.
