First time with a rotary buffer

These are some pics from my first rotary car. It was my practice dummy because the guy was getting his car repainted anyway. I taped all trim and only taped one edge so I could get the feel for going along the edge and not on it. Only a few pics because I didn't have a whole lot of time. No money shots on this one.

The 7424 was not pulled out at any point on this one. No burnt edges, no burnt paint, just following the edges very carefully at about 1500 rpm and an Orange pad. The paint is very orange peeled. Obviously has after market paint and was probably a MAACO job. Lots of runs and WAY too much metallic.

Meguiar's Clay bar
My own mix of clay lube (just distilled water and a few drops of baby shampoo, works like a charm)
Porter Cable 7428
Meguiar's M105
Meguiar's M205
Pinnacle XMT #1
3M Superbuff III double-sided Wool Pad
3M double sided adapter
Meguiar's W64 Rotary backing plate
LC 6" Kompressor Orange pads
LC 6" Kompressor White pads
LC 6" Kompressor Black pads
Meguiar's Gold Class Liquid Wax
Meguiar's Hyper Dressing 3:1

Not to bad man, The more you do it with the rotary that more you will love it, and see improvement. I would just watch corners (like hood/truck doors). The edges are not to bad. I usually just went back and did them by hand. When I hit the spots the buffer couldnt get. And watch for painted bumpers.
