Pics of a Buddies Duramax

My buddy called me today at around 5:30 asking me to come take some pics of his truck, so most of these were rushed due to day light issues, but I think they turned out decent. Most of them required no editing except for cloning out a light pole. Let me know what you think.

Nothing a few hundred bucks in flashes wouldn't fix.

I like number 4 the best.

Ahh yeah I would like to invest in some more stuff, but not on my priority list right now. School is draining my finances bad.

Those did come out pretty well considering the lighting. Very nice.

Hey when it starts raining money on you, make sure you slide me some...

Gloomy grey evening skies suck. You made good with what you had to work with for sure.

Powers idea would work pretty good here, putting a little light on the truck with a flash or deflector so the grey could be overcome by being able to shoot a faster shutter. Key problems would be the reflections that might show up. You might draw out some of the orange tones that are washing in the sky. The other problem is this time of year is just terrible for golden hour shooting. Another thing is your buddy called you on a whim to take the pics so you didn't have any time to do any of the above.

Thought you were quitting on the hobby Ryan? Did we make your itch come back?

Another idea. Take multiple exposures and turn it into a smoothened HDR next time. I think that would go great with the Gloomy sky.

I did take a few with the flash, but they didn't turn out good at all. I'm probably not going to quit the hobby right now, but I did sell two of my lenses and a flash, so I just slimmed down right now and take pics for friends, and of my cars, ect. But I still do greatly enjoy taking pictures, it just sucks that I don't have the money to advance.

I did take a few with multiple exposures, just haven't fooled around with editing them yet.

Just played around with a few different exposures, and the pics are too noisy to do anything with HDR.

Steve's right.

You see how the center section of the hood in the google picture is raised a lot higher than on your buddies truck?
