just curious of what ya'll think.
It's the rockymntgraphic vinyl one. Got it a few months ago, and finally slapped on yesterday before super bowl after she got a bath.

It's not the matte finish I wanted, but it's growing on me.

agreed - previous owner mod there with the flashy letters. Looking to get some matching black vinyl ones soon.

,,,also I polished up the rims, and tips, but it's hard to see from that angle.

not a fan really, especially on that color IMO, but its your car so do what YOU think looks good.

the whole rear of the car has some nice fade going on, so I plan on repainting the whole car eventually. I just wanted to get a feel of what it would look like. I'd definitely do 'matte',,or 'flat' black if it got painted.

I tried removing that dealer decal too,,,starting coming off fine, only to find a burned in 'ghost image' of the original dealers sticker in my paint ,,so I had to leave it. Think I'll at least replace it with something funny.

Have you tried a good buff? I think you could restore your paint quite a bit.

haven't tried buffing the paint,,,,the clear is gone is some places,,and the bumper area right where the trunk closes is looking pretty 'thin' on color.

...plus I'm no expert on paint/color, I'd be afraid of just ruining what's already there. Luckily that color is hard to see the fade. A paint job is definitely on my list of things to do eventually. I really love the stock orange colored stang gts.

You can always do it by hand if you dont have the knowledge or skills to buf with a machine, I rubbed one of my old cars by hand and it turned out amazing. It just happens to be alot more work. But safer at the same time. I used a rubbing compound then a polishing compound and it made a big difference.

Ya,,,one weekend I plan on giving it a hella-waxing. Might put some elbow grease on the back, and see what happens. If it works well, I might be able to do the same to the trunk, and remove the spoiler. (bad tan lines where the spoiler sits),,,,maybe too bad to simply 'buff' out though.

...going to give the tips one more polishing today. Got about 80% of the crap off the first time,,,hoping to get them all bling'n again.

I have mixed emotions. I think they look good, but I also think they break up the flow of the car to much. I like solid colors period. No deviations. However, with you having the black spoiler and all I think it goes with what you are trying to accomplish. Now just get rid of the chrome letters and emblems. Black them bitches out as well and you will be good.

Ya,,I'm not trying to mix too many colors,,,,less is more in my book. I'd like to keep it a red/black scheme...

I'd like to loose the spoiler one day,,,when that happens I might loose the vinyl too,,,just to keep real clean.

...the ONLY thing I like about the stainless letters in the back is that when you stand right behind it, it looks like the letters are not there, and you're staring at the road (since they're like mirrors). Otherwise I hope I haven't been blinding innocent drivers behind me

I'm hoping I can peel them off without bending, and maybe re-sell them. Black letters ftw though,,,again most of what ya'll see on the car is from the previous owner.

I love my chrome letters, looks amazing on black. If my stang was red tho I would go the route ur going, black and red all the way. Blacked out heads, fogs and tails, black spoiler black lettering black rims. Sexxxxxyyyy

..now I have to wonder,,,,do I get matte/flat letters,,,or shiny ones that would match the lower bumper vinyl?????? choices, choices....

I'd hate to have reorder the bumper piece in matte (only like $18 shipped,,,but still)

My car came with the stainless letters. I yanked them off and gave them to someone on SVTP who wanted to see if he could get them to work. They got bent, but I think they might have been fixable.

Have you looked at the outline letters yet? Those might look pretty good.
