2007 Range Rover Supercharged

I've been busy since Friday at noon detailing this car. I finished it up tonight. This SUV had the HARDEST clearcoat I've ever touched. I could do 2 passes with a wool pad on the rotary with Meguiar's M105 (one of the most aggressive compounds on the market) and it would barely phase it. It took ALOT of finnessing and patience because it is silver.

Here are some teater shots before the money shots tomorrow morning.

Process:

Prep:
Washed via TBM Meguiar's Gold Class
Wheels/ wheel wells done with APC, various brushes and a wheel dedicated mitt
Clayed with Meguiar's Mild Clay and water

Polisher/Pads:
Porter Cable 7428 Rotary
3M Superbuff III Wool pad
LC Purple Foamed Wool pad
LC Kompressor White pad
LC CCS Blue pad
LC Spot Buff CCS Orange pad (for windows)
LC Spot Buff CCS White pad

Polishes:
Meguiar's M105
Meguiar's M205
3M Ultrafina
Menzerna Intensive Polish

Protection:
Collinite 845 (car is a DD)

LSP:
AutoGlym HD wax 2 coats

Wheels:
Meguiar's Hyper Dressing 3:1
Wheel Wax

Trim:
IPA and APC with various brushes and microfiber

Windows were polished with Menzerna Intesive Polish with an LC Orange pad

Defects were hard to capture, but they were there

During:

Here's some wetsanding being done. This scratch was alot deeper than what it looks like. It was all in the angle of the shot.

These last shots are without wax and 2 IPA wipedowns.

The owner said that tomorrow I get to start on the Lambo. He is just going to sell the Lexus and find something better.
