Some new outdoor pictures with the D3000

Kind of bored, itching for spring to get here so I can finally do a nice photoshoot with the Cobra, but here it is March and we still have 1 foot of snow on the ground, so I decided to go out back and snap some random pictures with my new camera. I'm still learning, so they're not the greatest. Shot with a Nikon D3000 and 55-200mm

wow, these pics are amazing! the wife and i picked up this same camera for Christmas. we haven't had a chance to take any pics with it yet, but we're looking forward to when the weather gets a little warmer and we can spend some more time outside with the camera while we're hiking, etc...

i like the first set of pictures a lot, but the second set of pics are a little over processed and under exposed.

Thanks. The summer pictures are from last summer, and with my old point and shoot camera. The D3000 is way nicer.

As mentioned above, those were taken with a little Cannon SD750 P&S and when I first got into photog. They are all done with HDR, and I had no idea how to process pictures then.

I said that prior to joining the Army. I grew up in southern Mississippi and had never seen snow until last winter when the Army stationed me here! lol
