That'd be my dad's couch. He has a really nice gun safe, so I opted to keep most of my gun's there. Especially the more valuable/special ones. Of coarse I have one of my .45's and a shotgun at my house. But the rest stay at his place.

Nice Jake...My dad used a BAR on Iwo when he was shot and wounded. He was awarded the purple heart and is still alive today. He'll be 85 this December. I have always loved that gun and your M1. Sweet.

very cool. my buddy has a couple surplus M1's. I think we spent 30 minutes racking the stripper clip out of the chamber listening to that classic "tink" sound after he got them. A springfield armory m1a will be my next rifle buy/build.

Sounds like your dad is the kinda guy I'd like to meet sometime! I only wish I could own a BAR and a Thompson for that matter. Then our WWII Collection would be mostly complete. Between my dad and I we have; a Springfield 1903 A3 (Outfitted like a A4) sniper rifle, a M1 Carbine, My Garand and two 1911 .45's. Thats it for the WWII stuff, though.

Yeah, I didn't do that with mine. But I have put probably 64 rounds through it so far and the last round out is always so satisfiying.

Thanks! I'll try and take some better pictures here in a week or so. The sketch of the battleship is really awesome. Only thing is the case just sits empty most of the time because the gun is in the Safe.
