new stoptech brakes on my 03 dsg cobra

Got my brakes in the other day from Lethal and my buddy travis (travis_afx) came over to help me with the install. I paid him in beer and bbq:beer: The swap was easy as could be. Thankfully I had just enough brake fluid (motul rbf 600) left to do a flush and bleed of the new setup.

snapped a few pics during the job.

stripped down

the old ssbc rotors were toast

got the new setup on

snapped this quick pic with my iphone after we put the wheels back on to go bed in the pads.

I'll get some better pics of everything after I have a chance to clean the car up.

while taking some bbq breaks Travis decided to play fetch with my english bulldog Hogan and then they decided to play tug o' war with the stick. It looks like they are trying to pull apart a huge wishbone.

I will. I ran out of time due to having to help my dad with a few things. I was wanting to atleast clean the car up a little before snapping some full shots. Darkness set in and the forecast is for rain tomorrow but I'll snap some better shots and post them in here soon.

yes. it's the upr tubular k member, lca's, and coilovers. I need to get some taller coil springs for it. They are noisy and will fall out of the perch when the suspension is unloaded.

very nice! love those brakes! would love to upgrade mine, but the bbs's wouldn't fit anymore.

you must have a 12" spring if your having that issue. i hated my car when i had 12" springs on my coilovers...

When i let the jack down, the spring went back into the perch very loudly. It made me jump and get that sinking feeling of, oh crap i just broke my friends car! lol

Yep. I just need to call Jeremy and order up a 14" spring. Thinking of getting something a little softer in hopes that it will ride a little better and hopefully be a little quieter on the street.

LOL! You should have seen the look on your face! You need to hurry up and get those adjustable struts/shocks so I can see how you like them before I get new struts/shocks.

LMFAO! I dont know about buying them but as long as our friends car is down so he cant break it we will have a shot at tinkering on your car instead of his. Now get out in the garage and polish up your drag wheels so we can go get some pics of our cars!
