PS and Transparent Gif settings?

I see all the really nice sig files, that are transparent(background), but what settings are you guys using when you save/export those from PS.. everytime I do a gif with tranparency or animated I loose so much quality and it get's grainy..

For transparent images, PNG is your best bet.

yup. As long as your background in the image shows up transparent is PS, ie. the grey and white squares, save it as a png
