Mach1 chin installed finally

Finally got around to installing the Mach1 chin that's been sitting in my trunk for about a month

she's pretty close to being a 'Machwannabee" - the previous owner gave her the stripe, and spoiler. I love the chin spoiler, so had to throw it on there. Took all of 15 mins tops. I used 1/4 20 screws, big washers, and lock washers up top.

I really like how it looks, but I notice if you sit down a bit, you can see a little day light between the spoiler and bumper it's mounted to. Not terribly, not like I'm missing bolts and it's sagging or anything - anyone else notice that on theirs?

I like it none the less

Chin spoiler is the black piece at the bottom of the front bumper. That's not paint, it's bolted on there.

where did you get that chin spoiler from? It looks way better than the new AM chin spoiler. I hate mine. It's too glossy and in fact i don't even mind when i bump it in to things or scrape it because it gives me an excuse to go buy an OEM one from ford. Yours looks nice, even if it is an older AM one or not

Yeah i wish i bought mine from there, and i was going to, until i found out that AM gives you actual nuts and bolts instead of plastic push tabs, that plus their customer service. I'm not taking any chances next time. As soon as i accidentally scrape the shit out and break this one, i'm going OEM.

Haha I'm the same way, unless I know the exact sizes of everything I need. Then I might stop on my way to work since I work directly across the street from a hardware store

In reality these are splitters, but we don't call them that. Just like the 5.0 is 4.9 and .357 is .355

I picked it up used from a guy in Ft Lauderdale a few weeks ago. He had a black stang that was getting painted. Got it for like $40,,or $60.

I would definitely recommend not using plastic push pins to hold it on. I used 1/4 20 with lock washers (I'm lucky as I have a fully machine shop at work, and one wall that's nothing but bolts/screws of every size imaginable)

This one is definitely a 'matte' black,,,not shiny at all - matches the matte black of my scoop, stripe, and spoiler nicely. Sorry,,not sure if it's AM,,or OEM.

I'm considering a mild drop - maybe an 1" all around one day. I've had plenty of lowered cars and trucks, and after a while, I've grown very tired of the rough ride, and not clearing bumps/driveways. Lowering is awesome, but I need a smooth ride in my daily driver - which the stang is.

your car has soo much potential.. if thats a vinyl hood stripe and hood cover thing please take it off! it will look so much better.. then get a mach 1 grill delete.

not vinyl,,,,,it's painted on (previous owner). I wasn't a fan of it at first, but the stripe's growing on me

i thought so....no one locally calls them spoilers.....it's splitters or we laugh at you
