XectriK Detail: 2002 White Honda Accord

My grandmother drives a 2002 Honda Accord and she asked me earlier in the week if I would come and clean it up all nice and shiney for her. The car was in pretty awful condition. My grandmother has a bad habit of running into things with her car so I couldn't fix everything that was wrong with it. There was also awful curb rash on every rim. It had some serious defects in the paint where sap and anything else had fallen off the tree and become part of the car. It took some serious effort and elbow grease to get the car back to a presentable condition.

Wheels
-Black Magic Scrubless wheel cleaner (pos but all I had available)
-Stiff Brush (cause of the pos wheel cleaner)

Undercarraige
-Adam's Under Carraige Spray
-Same Stiff Brush

Wash
-Adam's Car Shampoo (some people don't like the stuff but it does the job very well)
-Two Bucket Method
-Adam's Wash Mit
-Adam's Detail Spray (for breaking up the water)
-Adam's Great White Drying towel

Contamination Removal
-Adam's Clay Bar
-Adam's Detail Spray
-Microfiber Towel

Paint Correction
-PC 7424XP
-Orange Pad
-Adam's Swirl and Haze Remover
-Black Pad
-Adam's Machine Super Wax

Now I'm not great photographer or detailer but I like how it turned out

Looks like you had your work cut out for you man. On a car like that I would not even have worried about paint correction tho. I just would of cleaned it with some dawn, IPA wipe down, clay, and wax.

Bein that it is a white car combined with bein outside, theres no way to tell if the swirls are gone hehe.

However you got that thing way cleaner and shiny. Props for a good job bro.

Thanks. I wasn't really going for swirl removal but I after the initial wash and the clay there was still dirt that wouldn't come off. I had to use the buffer to get it clean again.

You never want to use a buffer to remove dirt. Think about it... you are grabing a piece of dirt/sand/tar out of the paint, attaching it to a foam pad, and spinning it around and around and around on the surface of the paint. Get my point? You will me marring the surface and causing more harm than good.

If there was still dirt left after claying, you needed to either use a strong soap, stronger clay, or more than one aggresive wash. Make sure you wipe it down with IPA as well, it helps remove alot of stuff that the wash misses. What clay bar and soap did you use? If you used a car wash soap, what was your dilution rate (1oz per gallon, ect)?

Hondas have extremely soft paitn and this car has a single stage paint job. The white Accords went to a BC/CC paint job IIRC in 2006 maybe 2007. Your pads should have had a light white haze to them after each pass if you made ANY dent in the correction, which you should have.

Looks good, but the shade is killing your pics.
