I do what I want!

Well you can send all the stuff in the mail overnight, and then get out here and we should be ready.

No for real tho, I need to make this car look good. How much do those bottles cost, of wax?

Oh its way more than just buying some bottles hehe. To get results like what I have, you need a polisher, 3 different polishes, atleast 7 pads, your sealant, Microfibers, quick detailer, ect, ect.... The polish, pads, and sealant alone cost me $150 this time around.

You'll need about 100 hours experience and about $600 to get something remotely close to this.

Mohter's Claybar FTL...

Go buy Claymagic. Get Meguiar's Quick Detailer (red bottle) for lube. Clay it. Then just put a cleaner wax on it for your application. I hate to say that, but in all honesty it's your best bet.

zinc.....

how could you?

If you strapped for time and just want a really good clean up, grab a Meg's Smooth Surface kit (clay bar), some kind of Meg's paint glaze if you can find one, and Meg's Gold Class liquid/paste wax. That plus you other standards like tire shine, invisible glass cleaner, ect. will give you a decent round of cleaning and shine.

At least the cleaner would fill in the swirls. Less swirls on his car, the better. Besides a cleaner wax has better filler properties than most glazes.

True, suppose that in this EXTREAM case I will agree to using a cleaner wax. The Meg's smooth surface kit comes with a small bottle of it. I have two of them sitting on my shelf from clay bar kits... no use for em.

Hmm. Some of my buddies have a bunch of Meg's stuff. I gotta find out if they have that stuff. I dont wanna spend to much, but when your showing you car with another 2000, I think I will spend some more money if I have too.

A meg's clay bar kit from walmart is $15... not bad at all. If you just get OTC products for a decent detail your look at like $40ish?

Do you already have a mother's kit? I would say use it and do your rims with it, and the Meg's kit for your paint and glass. That way your not wasting anything.

You have not seen busy until you get into paint correction. I spent about 20 hours on mine this weekend.

Yea I got the mothers clay bar kit. I think I will use that. And then buy a meg's wax that you mentioned before.

But I wont be 20 hours worth of detailing, but I got the blower install this week. Finish on Friday I hope. Duty on satuday morning, full detail of everything including vaccuming and engine, then duty again on base. An all day event for sure.
