Full polish detail... results inside

Finally pulled the trigger on the Meg's 105/205 & Menzerna PO 85RD polish. Oh... my.... god.

The results are down right stunning. The red is just poping off the car and the reflections are so vibrant. I also went with a new sealant instead of the Poorboy's Wax.... and it made a huge difference.

Products used:

Wash/Dry
  • Optimum Car Wash
  • Optimum No Rinse
  • Lambswool Wash Mitt
  • Daytonna Speed Master Brush
  • Tire Brush
  • Leaf Blower
  • Cobra Guzzeler HD Waffle Weve
  • Foam Gun

Correction
  • Meg's Clay Bar
  • Meg's 105
  • Meg's 205
  • Menzerna PO 85RD
  • Lake Contry CSS Orange, White, & Gray pads
  • Porter Cable 7424XP

Protection
  • Blackfire Wet Diamond Sealant
  • Applied w/ a Lake Controy CSS Blue pad on PC 7424XP

Wheels
  • Meg's APC 10:1
  • Meg's Clay Bar
  • Wheel Wax (yes, thats the product name)
  • Pinnical Black Onyx tire gel

Glass/Windows
  • Stoner's Invisible Glass bottle

Other
  • Finish Kare #425 Final Body Shine
  • Various Microfiber
  • XMT Pad Cleaner/Conditioner

*These pics are in no specific order.*

Btw, what does everyone think about the spoilerless look? I took it off to polish under it... but I really like the sleek look without it. Thoughts?

looks like i need to switch to the 105/205 combo, i've heard nothing but awesomeness can come from it. i've been using poorboys ssr 1, 2.5, and 3 and it does nothing like what you did there. amazing results. your car looks awesome. with that color scheme though i'd go ahead and put on your spoiler. just my .02c

I like it to an extent. The spoiler (being black) adds that extra effect and as an offset/accent to the red. I did mine black as well to offset some of the yellow

Thats what I always heard, and it was correct. Last polish I did I used the XMT line and man... this is so much better. I really like the Blackfire Wet Diamond sealant as well.

Im torn on the spoiler... I just really like the sleek look is has without it.

Ya, thats why I painted mine black... just unsure which way I want to go now. If I do go without the spoiler, I need to either get a shop to fill the holes and repaint it, or buy a trunk lid that does not have holes. Wonder which would be cheaper... cause if I do go without the spoiler, I will be selling it.

If you decide to keep the spoiler off:
you can get plastic cap things (not sure of the tech. term here lol) at Lowes that will fit in pretty snug. You can sand them down flush and then paint them. Install w/ a little silicone to seal it and .it'll look real slick and cost ya like 1-2 dollars

Theres some bad gunk etched into the paint and some chipping there also tho. The compound did not even get the gunk out so I imagine I would have to wetsand it out and then buff it. 105 can remove 1200 grit sanding... but I would not get lower than 2000 cause I would be afraid of messing up the paint to much.

I don't know... I like it without the spoiler. Gonna drive it a while and see.
