New Mod | Practice With The New Camera | New Ideas

So, here's my first attempt at a photoshoot. Let me know what you think. Also there's a new small mod. Should be pretty easy to point out. Those of you who know it better not spoil it. :p

Depending on how I feel the cars going to go under the gun (paint gun) next week. Got some ideas storming in my head, and no its not the DSG idea.

Probably my next mod is going to be 03/04 Cobra Fogs since mine crapped out on me.

Lens wise, still hunting for some good glass for this new camera.

You know the deal:

Canon T1i
18-55mm IS (for now).

From the other day (if you missed them, without the new mod):

I think it looks better than just the GT emblem I'm sure others do too. But not sure what he meant by "if this doesn't give it away, you're retarded".

I like that badging on the front on an s197, on the side it makes me think its a V6 for some reason. Car looks good though.

Did you use portrait mode on the one with the trees? It looks like it due to the blurred background.

I have the T1i and that lens also, and a 75-300mm lens also--its good for far shots and to zoom in real close on closer shots.

It was a joke, some people on other forums couldn't figure out what my new subtle mod was.

Yeah, next I'm either going to pick up a 75-300mm or 55-250 USM IS.

The only problem with the 75-300mm is that its useless for getting a whole scene in, I am constantly switching between lenses. The 55-250mm is probably more versatile if you dont want to carry an extra lens.

The first two are pretty much straight from the camera (with the GT badges). The other ones have a border added and i raised the color levels. By no means are there any major edits done to these pics.

Oh tell me about it, the car goes to the paint shop next week though. This car drives on rock roads daily (part of working for a rural healthcare network).

I'm fresh out of college and I cant afford a new car yet, this has been my daily since highschool.

I'm starting my new job monday, so the car will see paint and then I'll have a daily before long and the paint won't be a mess all the time.

This is all assuming you meant porter cable. If your talking about a PC computer i have one! lol.

Next up is a canon Polar filter (a real one, not a hoya POS)

Well...at least there arent any dead bums!

The bricks are a nice contrast to the car, I cant wait to get back to the US and take some pics with this camera.

I love it!!! The new emblems are great. I think you made a great choice. Tinting the back lights would be a nice touch.

Yeah.

I did a couple photoshoots recently for some guys who wanted their cars in open parking lots. There are some perks to doing that, but I like having a building in the background or something to give some since of distance. It also makes for some good depth of field if you do it right.

Some of my favorite pics came at an industrial park back before I had an SLR. I dug some up:

or going WAY back
