Did some more work on my day off

Sorry if you guys are getting sick of all my pics lately. I love tweaking things and can't leave anything well enough alone.

Decided to pull my grille out and paint it black to see what it would look like. I think I like it enough to do the lower as well.

Tinted my tails. I use tinted automotive clear from the paint shop. I think they could stand to be a little darker so next week I'll probably scuff them and add another coat.

Installed my Steeda gauge pods. I like them a lot better than the pillars, they look really classy while still providing all the information you need. I also decided to pull all the vent pods out and paint them gloss black to match the exterior while I was at it. I like it a ton better than the cheap chrome look they come from the factory with. Also installed some carbon fiber trim. I like this stuff as it's the less obnoxious looking type. Subtle while still standing out. I'll probably end up doing the radio area as well.

sounds like a great day off man! haha the new mods look good! i'd def do the lower grill too, and the taillights would look sweet if they were a little darker

You guys are brutal.

I know she needs a bath. It's kind of pointless though when it has been a torrential down pour every day for the past couple weeks. The forecast says it might be getting sunny later next week (fingers crossed), so the clay bar and rubbing compound is right around the corner.

The AF gauge is made by Innovative and the boost is an Autometer cobalt.

Because I can get a lot better finish and consistency using a paint gun and automotive clear.

Im digging the paint job and the CF. did you order a kit or buy a roll and do it yourself?

If you did it yourself how hard was the application?

Are you mixing Black and Clear? What is the mixture? I've heard 10:1 but could never confirm.

That's about right. Honestly, I just mix what looks close and spray.

I'm not nearly as picky as I am when spraying panels.

I've been playing around with tinting stuff lately and it's came out good. I'm just worried about the sun tearing it up. I want mine a little darker than those so do you think 10:1 would be good? What did you sand with prior to painting? 800? Any sanding after?

Why did this get moved? There is good info in here about the dash, lights, etc.
