the deck height of the 5.4 is almost 1.5 inches taller than a 4.6 so thats as low as itll go

There is a Mach clone that is a vert running around here and I love it... As for your issue with the shaker sticking out to far, rather than lowering it, why not try to fabricate a rubber grommet to atleast cover the lower stuff up? I think that would cure alot of the appearance issue with it sticking up to far.

Fuck it! Leave the Shaker as it is. I like it! Better then a hood cuout or a 8" cowl.

So yeah, I like the idea you got going with the shaker, and it is something you don't see everyday, but I'd have to find a way to lower that motor.

I think I like it. If it's a Lightning bottom end, why no forced induction? M90 or M119 should be fairly cheap and easy to setup on that bastard.

Cool ride man, but Im with these guys on the shaker...I think a nice cowl hood would really sex that car up... Although I do like all the "wheres the blower" confusion lol What kinda of #'s are you getting with that 5.4?

its an f150 long block a lightning block has lower compression and wouldn't make good power N/A
I plan on gettinging a MMR long block 12:1 compression, Ported trickflow heads, modular head shop custom cams, and a ported HPS intake manifold. That would put me over 400hp N/A, but for the near future i'm going to add an Aluminum driveshaft and underdrive pullies and shoot for a 12.5 @ 110mph. Trying to go as fast as I can on a stock 5.4 long block with bolt ons and power should be anywhere from 270-290 Hp and 320-340 tq as it sits right now. Itll be going to Big Shot dyno in Ohio after I send a few more datalogs back to trick tuners so i can see what it makes. i got the band clamp on yesterday that was in the middle of installing the JLT. I am going to buy some T bolt clamps sometime this week. The mach hood has enough cowl right around the plenum area and allows for a lot of the heat to escape and keeps a semi stock look Thanks for the compliments
