Couple test shots

Two edits here, more for those that own black rides and struggle with getting those sweet dusk shots.

Both are 6 exposure merges which allowed for shadow detail on the dark side of the car as well as grabbing the glowing sky.

I'm personally fond of the Black and white for some reason. Just pulls me in more and I believe it may simply be because it's gritty and contrasty.

Shot #2 has some great contrast. Would have been even better with some puffy clouds. But still a very nice shot.

But Erin. what if you put some flashes in front of the car to light up the car a little more on the color'd picture. Your right, it does looks kind gritty. I'm curious to see how it would turn out with a flash though.

If it were any other color than black it could have been done. Best chance I have is to reflect the light in off a large light modifier from an odd angle. Anything else leaves me with lots of editing time.

LOL, I see big room for improvement in those. Not so much in the skills, but in waiting for more interesting skies (clouds and such), along with putting some more light on the front of the car in the color shot.

Great shots.

I was also thinking that the problem with the color shot was the front of the car. You lost a lot of detail on the front that came through on the Black and White. Like you said, it would be hard to change that however.

Regardless, you are way beyond any of us when it comes to this hobby. Hopefully I can have me a camera soon... check your PMs
