I use photoshop. But whatever graphic design software used:
1) select the subject (the car in this case) I use the polygonal lasso tool. 2) choose a select inverse tool (in my right click menu for cs3) 3) desaturate the background 4) fiddle with brightness/ contrast 5) select inverse again so the subject is selected 6) fiddle with brightness/ contrast of the subject this time 7) then if you want reselect the background (select inverse) and play with filters and their settings* *Step 7 is how I changed the background in the 2nd chop. That one in particular is a crosshatch filter If you post more pics I will probably post more of these, look around the other threads around here, I have literally been photoshopping all day! lol thanks for the appreciation, it's why I continue to edit pictures, if only my dslr didn't break on the last deployment! |

Here's one with a background filter called "poster edges". It gives the image a poster-like appearance. It works better with bigger pics, but I think it fits well with this one.
