Need Camera Buying Advise

First off I would like to find a camera between 200-400 dollars, size isn't a concern, needs to take close to professional pics, and thats about all my requirements. Let me know what you personally have and how it works. ANy help is much appreciated.

I have a fujifilm s1800.. it is a 12.2 MP and 18x zoom. it takes some really amazing shots even though it's not a dslr. if you would like to see some of my shots pm me and i'll let you take a look. I paid $200 for it brand new.

Look into a Canon Rebel, or a brief entry DSLR. May be 50-100 more than you're wanting to spend, but it will be worth it.

$500 is DSLR territory. If you are going to spend that much, there is no sense in getting a P&S.
