[Request]Mustang convertible Blue with white stripes
I'm thinking about getting a paint job, I like its current color (dark gray) but I think it'd look badass blue with white stripes....
However, I want to see how they look before doing it.. The only pic I could find is this : ![]() Do any of you own one like this? |

so you're thinking of doing a color swap from gray to blue like the pic in your post? what year do you have? Color swaps are a shit ton, not to mention, if you open the hood you'll have a gray engine bay and blue exterior.. not too bad gray with the blue though.

dude color swpas are so not worth it unless you know a painter/ paint it yourself. The shop itself will literally have to part the car down using alot of man hours, meaning high costs. They also have to check frame, vin, and engine numbers just to make sure it isn't a stolen car. I looked into this for mine and it was just not worth it.

Edit : My uncle works for this shop that paints cars, He's the painter. Not sure if that means they'd do it for less... O_o Anyways, If it's too expensive, I rather just change the exhaust and add a BBK CAI instead.... |

My guess, without a discount, is $4000 or more.

You could get it done in the parking lot where you live/work for $600.
jk don't do that if you decide to get it done get it done the right way so it doesn't look awful.

if you want a quality job, 2k'ish
Supplies alone, depending on the color and single stage (old school 60's and 70's, 2-stage (what most cars have now and tri-coat (some cars have mid-coat like Ford E9 Red Fire), you're looking at around $600+ for just the paint supplies.. then the labor and all the misc stuff. |

I'm getting ready to paint mine in the next few weeks. It's Red Fire and the paint supplies are just under $700 for PPG DBC (top of the line). It's a tri-coat and will bring some vibrance back to my ride. My paint supplier tells me Red, Yellow and Silver are some of the higher priced colors.
